Benefits of After School Clubs

Nowadays many children are taking part in after school clubs. It is no longer realistic to sit back and expect a child to learn everything from a text book.

After school clubs are designed to help develop a child’s talent, skill and interest. The clubs often combine both recreational and educational factors and are created to help keep children active and interested in learning.
A massive benefit to after school clubs is that it broadens your children’s interest. They are introduced to new subjects and activities that can be both interesting and challenging to them so when they learn new skills their self-esteem grows. It also will provide them with key skills that can be very useful later on in life.
At after school clubs children are able to share their interests with other kids allowing them to make new friends and improve their confidence levels. Playing football in an after school club for example is a great way for your child to mix with new people and learn to be part of a team. It’s a great way to keep them active and off the sofa as well!
After school clubs have many benefits. As well as keeping children entertained and busy, they can prevent them from becoming addicted to televisions and computers. By giving these children ways to express their creativity whilst using up their excess energy, after school clubs will help shape their overall personalities.
Oxford Active run a variety of after school clubs in and around Oxfordshire, we also provide summer camps to keep your child active during the school holidays.
